Systems Engineer Manager (m/f/d)
Ihre Aufgaben
Coordinate all Systems Engineering activities within the project and provide functional leadership and guidance to the involved Systems Engineering team members in their respective areas of responsibility
Analyze customer, mission, and system requirements and translate them into structured system specifications and functional architectures
Define and maintain the overall mission and system architecture in close collaboration with subsystem and domain experts.
Develop and implement the Systems Engineering Plan (SEP) and coordinate Systems Engineering processes across project teams and disciplines
Manage requirements throughout the entire project lifecycle, including allocation and decomposition down to subsystem and equipment level
Conduct and coordinate trade-off analyses, concept evaluations, and technical assessments to support key project decisions
Define verification and validation strategies, support the development of test specifications, and ensure compliance with system requirements
Coordinate technical interfaces between subsystems, project partners, and subcontractors, and assess the impact of requirement or design changes
Monitor the technical progress of system development, identify risks, and initiate necessary corrective actions
Support and lead key system reviews, ensuring successful preparation, execution, and follow-up of review activities
Manage the technical aspects of configuration changes, waivers, deviations, and non-conformance processes
Support project planning by providing technical input regarding system performance, schedule, and cost implications
Ihre Qualifikationen
Degree (Diploma or Master's) in Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Systems Engineering, or a comparable technical discipline
Several years of professional experience in Systems Engineering for satellite ground stations, ideally within a military or defense environment
Proven experience in requirements management (Requirements Engineering), system architecture development, and verification planning
Solid knowledge of Systems Engineering processes and methodologies
Experience in the preparation and execution of system reviews
Ability to coordinate interdisciplinary technical teams and manage complex technical interfaces
Strong analytical skills combined with a structured and solution-oriented approach to work
Excellent communication skills and strong stakeholder management capabilities in international project environments
High level of initiative, accountability, and technical leadership skills
Fluent German language skills (written and spoken) and very good English language skills
