Ready for the next step? As a (Senior) Geotechnical Engineer (m/w/d), you will play a key role in driving forward cutting‑edge offshore technologies and elevating our projects to the next level.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Conduct geotechnical analyses of pile–soil interaction for offshore foundation systems
Execute pile drivability studies, interpret results, and prepare concise, insight‑driven technical reports
Represent the company on geotechnical matters in customer projects and technical discussions
Perform assessment and quality assurance of geotechnical analyses, including plausibility checks and verification reviews
Optimise the execution of pile installation projects and associated maintenance activities
Support R&D initiatives aimed at developing next‑generation offshore foundation technologies aligned with the R&D roadmap
Contribute to the development of automation tools for geotechnical applications (e.g., automated installation analyses)
Support the creation and refinement of numerical simulation models
Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders, including R&M, SD, and R&D teams, Acteon sister companies, and academic partners
Support data analysis tasks with a strong focus on geotechnical insights
Requirements:
Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnics or Geology preferably with a specialization in Geotechnics
Ideally, professional experience in a marine or offshore environment (e.g., offshore construction, wind energy, oil & gas, or similar)
Preferably, hands‑on field experience in conducting geotechnical investigations, including subsequent data evaluation, processing, and documentation
Solid knowledge of geotechnical calculation methods
Experience with GRLWEAP or equivalent drivability analysis software is considered an advantage
Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python, MATLAB) and their practical application is beneficial
Experience in the practical use of finite element (FE) software
Strong ability to quickly familiarise yourself with new topics, tools, and technical challenges
Enthusiasm for mathematical and logical problem‑solving throughout project execution
High level of initiative, sense of responsibility, and excellent organisational skills
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Proven ability to work effectively within interdisciplinary teams
Confident user of Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems
Business‑fluent proficiency in English (written and spoken)
German language skills are an advantage
