(Sr) Medical Science Liaison, Pipeline (f/m/d) - Northern Germany
About This Role:
As a (Sr) Medical Science Liaison Pipeline (f/m/d), you will be an essential field-based medical expert driving strategic scientific engagement to bolster our pipeline development in Germany. Your role as a subject matter expert involves delivering high-quality medical and scientific support to key medical experts and patient advocacy groups. You will lead expert discussions (e.g. advisory boards), provide complex scientific presentations (e.g. disease awareness) and collect medical insights in new therapeutic areas to enhance clinical decision-making and inform local strategy. By facilitating research collaborations and contributing to expanded access program communications (if applicable), you will contribute to advance Biogen's pipeline strategy. You will play a pivotal role in establishing robust networks with key medical experts to support pipeline objectives, ultimately contributing to the overall success of Biogen's strategic goals through expert engagement, medical education, and evidence generation.
What You’ll Do:
Conduct analysis to define the key medical expert universe for strategic engagement.
Collect and analyze critical insights to inform local medical and cross-functional strategies.
Deliver high-quality, complex medical presentations and lead scientific discussions with key medical experts to translate pipeline data into impactful content.
Disseminate innovative medical education materials and support internal training on disease areas and treatments.
Stay updated on therapy advances, research developments, and Biogen's pipeline products.
Build trusted relationships with key medical experts and patient advocacy groups to ensure accurate understanding of pipeline therapies.
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to execute aligned medical plans. Organize and deliver medical education events while ensuring compliance with local regulations.
Establish and maintain strong networks with key medical experts to support pipeline objectives.
Support therapeutic experts in developing concepts and protocols for research and registries.
Contribute to expanded access program communications ethically and transparently.
Promote best-practice sharing and mentor new colleagues to strengthen team capabilities.
Ensure compliance with Biogen’s Code of Business Conduct and local SOPs.
Who You Are:
You are an articulate communicator with a passion for scientific engagement and medical education with a strong ability to foster relationships with key medical experts and patient advocacy groups. You are passionate about supporting pipeline development through strategic engagement and evidence generation, upholding ethical standards in all interactions and whilst working cross-functionally to achieve aligned goals.
Required Skills:
Master’s Degree in Medical or Life Sciences related discipline required; advanced degrees such as M.D., Ph.D., or Pharm.D. preferred.
5-7+ years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry including (field-based) roles in Medical and/or development.
Strong knowledge in Regulatory Affairs, Drug Safety, Market Access, Legal, and Compliance environment.
Up-to-date knowledge of therapy advances and current research as well as evolving standards of care.
Fluency in German and English.
