Restoration work involves multiple people who rarely share the same context. Field workers, office managers, and project leads all use magicplan differently, often at the same time, and getting them to collaborate around the same data is the hard part. Your job is to understand all of them and design across that gap.
You started last week with a customer problem you identified yourself. Nobody prompted you. You got sign-off from product to work on it, scheduled the interviews, locked in onsite visits. You used an LLM to pressure-test your hypotheses before talking to a single user. Then you ran 12 interviews with real users. (We actually have that many.)
It's Tuesday now. You're in Claude Cowork synthesizing transcripts, sorting signal from noise, shaping a user journey that holds across personas.
At noon you sync with your PO and lead engineer to validate your read and get sign-off on direction.
At 15:00 the whole product team aligns in the daily standup. After that, you work async. Wednesday morning you vibe-code a solution in Cursor or Claude Code, fast and rough, just enough to test the interaction. What survives goes into Figma.
Every couple of weeks you're on a train or a plane, watching someone use the app, or having a coffee with a customer.
We work in pods. A pod is a small cross-functional team: A product owner, a lead engineer, QA, a sales rep and a marketing colleague, all working the same problem space.
You start embedded in one pod. That's where you create impact. The design team sits across pods. That's where you grow, get challenged and are held to a craft standard.
Design work builds standards and holds quality gates. Pod delivery is the context. We rotate you across pods over time so you don't develop tunnel vision. Weekly design critique is our anchor ritual. Berlin office day every one to two weeks: Stickies on walls, coffee, the whole thing.
Disclaimer: We're mid-restructuring, so not everything is figured out. If you want to shape that rather than inherit it, you'll fit right in.
-
You involve people early. You share work in progress before it's comfortable and treat collaboration as a starting point.
-
You run your own research. You schedule the interviews, you go onsite, you bring field signal into every decision without being asked.
-
German & English C1 or better for on-site research.
-
You take a position. You give one clear recommendation, not six options. You carry the vision across features without re-litigating it each time.
-
You're fluent with AI in your workflow. Research synthesis, prototyping beyond Figma, prompt-driven exploration.
-
You're open to travel. Roughly every month, to customers, to our Munich headquarters, to workshops, occasionally to the US.
-
You've worked across multiple user personas with conflicting needs in the same product
-
You have experience contributing to or owning a design system
-
You've shipped coded prototypes or worked in Cursor, Claude Code or v0
-
Screening call with Andrea from HR. Logistics, first impressions, mutual fit check.
-
Hiring manager interview with Ash, Konstantin or both. We care more about how you think than what you've shipped. Pass that and we'll send you two challenge options within 2 to 3 work days.
-
Pick your format. A take-home case study you present to a small cross-functional panel, or skip the take-home and run a live whiteboard session with that same panel instead.
-
Last stop is a High Five with Andreas, Robert and Bernd.
-
You get an offer letter.
-
Flexibility & Autonomy – Work in a remote first, async-friendly culture that values ownership and trust.
-
If you are in Munich - access to our modern office in central Munich (excellent public transport connections).
-
29 vacation days + public holidays.
-
Job Ticket coverage.
-
Kindergarten/Kita support.

Learning & development budget (because growing is part of the job).
