Data Expert for Model-Informed Drug Development (MIDD) (all genders)
As a member of the Model-Informed Drug Development (MIDD) team, you shape the data strategy, conduct exploratory analyses and prepare analysis datasets for population PK, PKPD, exposure response and PBPK analyses. You empower colleagues worldwide to make data-driven decisions and foster innovative approaches in drug development. Within our Pharmaceuticals division, this position offers you the opportunity to actively contribute to global projects.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- You apply MIDD data expertise across therapeutic areas and are responsible for developing and implementing the data strategy in MIDD teams
- You turn data into insights, by conducting data exploration, creating visualizations and performing exploratory analyses
- You create high-quality datasets in R for modeling and simulation analyses ready for use in platforms such as NONMEM, Monolix, and PK-Sim/MoBi
- You ensure robust and reliable results through quality checks, documenting dataset creating processes and provide constructive feedback on data from partner functions and CROs
- You thrive and take ownership in collaborative teams, taking responsibility for data-related aspects of the MIDD contributions.
- You support or lead initiatives to improve departmental effectiveness and advance innovative methods, including AI-driven approaches
WHO YOU ARE
- You hold a university degree in computer science, data science, mathematics, statistics, life sciences, or a related field and have gained first professional experience in one of those areas; a PhD degree is beneficial
- You possess hands-on programming skills in R, SAS, Python, or similar, especially in data preparation and visualization
- You have exposure to or a strong interest in MIDD/pharmacometrics, statistical analysis, clinical data science or SDTM/ADaM programming
- You stand out with a proactive, ownership-driven mindset and confidently tackle new or unclear situations
- Your strong communication and collaboration skills help you explain complex topics in a clear and engaging way
- You are motivated by curiosity, analytical thinking, and a growth mindset to quickly develop into the Data Expert role
- Fluent English, both written and spoken, and basic German or an interest in developing German language skills round off your profile
