Could you be the full-time Project Engineering Manager - Rolling Stock / Component (PrEM) in Mannheim we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your engineering leadership expertise in an exciting and dynamic field. You’ll work alongside collaborative, innovative, and supportive teammates.You’ll play a key role in managing the engineering core team to deliver on Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) commitments. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams across the business (such as Project Managers, Train Engineers, and Engineering Metier Leaders), represent engineering in core project teams, and ensure seamless interfaces with internal and external stakeholders, and much more.You’ll specifically take care of defining and implementing the Engineering Management Plan and managing engineering work packages, but also ensuring technical decisions are well-documented and aligned with project objectives.
We’ll look to you for:
Leading and representing engineering activities within the project core team
Managing engineering work packages to meet QCD commitments
Ensuring timely design reviews and gate reviews with the required quality
Providing regular reporting and performance analysis using the PrEM cockpit
Mitigating engineering risks and driving savings action plansManaging global scheduling convergence with support from planning teams
Overseeing operational quality improvements and ensuring issue resolutionCollaborating with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment

Engineering degree or equivalent experience
General knowledge of rolling stock products and engineering tasks
Extensive technical knowledge and project management background
Experience in product development or management positions (5+ years for large projects is desirable)

Structured, organized, and hands-on approach to problem-solving
Fluency in English and the local language of the site
