The Opportunity:
This position supports a Department of War (DoW) organization, USAFRICOM, located OCONUS in Stuttgart, Germany, by supervising the daily activities of the Cybersecurity contract staff. This staff comprises of Information System Security Officer and Manager (ISSO/ISSM), Security Control Assessor-Representative (SCA-R), Information System Security Engineer (ISSE), and Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) teams. This role requires working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that demands close team collaboration and effort coordination. The individual will interface directly with client managers, contract leadership, and system users.
Responsibilities:
Supervise and manage the daily activities of the Cybersecurity contract staff supporting the command.- Facilitate clear, concise communication between government leadership and contract personnel to ensure all team efforts directly align with the customer’s mission and priorities.
- Develop, implement, and enforce USAFRICOM/DoW regional or command-unique Information Assurance (IA) policies, ensuring compliance with established requirements for units connecting to the enterprise.
- Communicate effectively within audience settings and present Cybersecurity briefs to high-ranking personnel.
- Coordinate, schedule, and/or conduct Cybersecurity training for all Information Systems personnel as required.
- Provide subject matter expertise across all areas of information systems security, including network, application, database, physical, and web vulnerabilities, as well as common security design flaws.
- Apply a deep understanding of NIST 800-53 RMF requirements, alongside DoW policies and processes.
- Partner with contract and customer leadership to ensure the Performance Work Statement (PWS) is met and all Cybersecurity Team deliverables are presented as required.
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in: Management, Leadership, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).- 10+ years of people management and team leadership experience.
- DoD 8140 IAM Level III Certification (e.g., CISSP, CISM).
- Currently hold and maintain an adjudicated Top-Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility.
- Meet Technical Expert Status Accreditation (TESA) eligibility requirements.
Desired:
Demonstrated adaptability to changing circumstances, operational tempos, and mission needs.- Experience supporting a Combatant Command's (CCMD) Cybersecurity mission requirements.
- Proficiency with the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS).
- Experience implementing DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and a foundational understanding of DISA CMRS.
- Experience executing Information System Continuous Monitoring (ISCM) strategies.
- Strong understanding of DoW and Military communication standards

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$99,300 - 208,600 USD
