Role Overview:
As Country Operations & Governance Manager (m/f/d), you will be responsible for the central operational coordination of the German BSkyB company and support the Managing Director and the responsible Business Owner in ensuring that the company
operates smoothly, in compliance with regulations, and effectively. Working closely with the Sky Teams, TMF, and external partners, you will coordinate governance issues, stakeholder management, budget oversight, and key operational activities, ensuring transparency and seamless collaboration in areas such as HR, payroll, taxes, compliance,
immigration and residency management, data protection, office management, business
resilience and continuity management, and workplace technology.
Formal responsibility remains with the managing director, the company's governing bodies, and the respective departments. However, you play a crucial role in connecting the right people, partners, and processes to coordinate activities across departments, manage them effectively, and implement them successfully.
Your tasks:
● You will support the Managing Director and the responsible Business Owner in
coordinating day-to-day operations and contribute to ensuring that the German BSkyB company operates in accordance with Sky's
guidelines, standards, and local regulatory requirements. ● You will act as the central point of contact for coordinating operational, compliance, and employee-related matters in Germany and ensure that activities
It is managed transparently and escalated to the responsible teams and people as needed
● You coordinate collaboration with TMF and other external partners in
HR, payroll, tax, accounting, and related operational
services, ensuring timely and accurate implementation.
● You support governance activities and operational budget tracking
, helping
to maintain an overview of key priorities, risks, and actions.
● You coordinate administrative processes throughout the employee lifecycle,
including onboarding, termination, contract changes, salary adjustments,
absence and leave processes, benefits administration, personnel files, and
travel and expense management.
● You support local ethics, compliance, and investigation processes, acting
as a point of contact for employee concerns, whistleblower reports, and policy-related questions in collaboration with the respective expert teams
● You coordinate local activities in the areas of data protection,
workplace technologies, office management, resilience, and business continuity,
ensuring that information is shared and actions
are successfully followed up.
● You build trusting and effective relationships with Sky Teams, external
partners and service providers to ensure smooth cooperation,
timely solutions to challenges and efficient operational processes
What you bring to the table:
You possess strong coordination, organizational, and communication skills
, as well as experience in supporting operational processes with various stakeholders.
A high degree of discretion, precision, and confidence when dealing with external service providers
is also essential for this role.
Must-haves:
● Excellent written and spoken German and English skills.
● Experience in coordinating and managing external service providers,
for example in payroll, HR, taxes, or other operational
service functions.
● Strong organizational and governance skills, as well as the ability
to effectively manage risks, compliance requirements, and audit-related issues.
● A good understanding of the GDPR and local data protection requirements in an
operational business environment.
● Experience in supporting budget tracking, invoice management, or
managing service providers.
Desired qualifications:
● Experience supporting international or cross-border corporate
structures.
● Ability to coordinate multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously and to
collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholder groups.
● Experience in personnel administration, payroll coordination, or operational HR
● Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
