The Role and Your Impact on the Team
As our People Operations Lead, you will lead a small, high-impact team and ensure exceptional People Operations delivery across Germany, Austria, Belgium, the UK, and the US.
You will join a People Team that has already invested heavily in operational excellence, automation, and scalable ways of working. With established global processes, outsourced specialist partners, a modern People tech stack, and our first AI-powered employee experience agent already live, your focus will be on optimizing, automating, and continuously improving an already strong People Operations function.
Why This Role Is Different
You won't spend your time manually processing payroll, navigating complex employment law cases, or building fundamental People Operations processes from scratch. Our foundations are already in place. Your focus will be on leading the team, improving employee experience, driving operational excellence, and helping us scale through automation and AI.
Reporting to the Chief People Officer, you'll play a key role in ensuring our People Operations function remains scalable, efficient, employee-centric, and ready to support future growth.
Responsibilities:

Lead People Operations Delivery: Lead a team of one People Operations Specialist and two Working Students, ensuring consistent clarity, effective prioritization, and culture of ownership, service excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Own People Operations Delivery: Ensure seamless employee lifecycle operations across multiple countries, from onboarding through offboarding. Maintain high standards of operational quality, compliance, and employee experience.
- Drive Operational Excellence: Continuously improve People processes, documentation, workflows, and ways of working. Identify trends, recurring issues, and opportunities through People data and operational insights.
- Advance Automation and AI: Drive automation, self-service, and AI-enabled solutions across the employee lifecycle. Partner with stakeholders to improve efficiency and reduce manual work through technology.
- Manage Key Partnerships: Coordinate external payroll, benefits, immigration, and employment law providers. Partner closely with Finance, Legal, Works Council, and business leaders to ensure smooth operational delivery.
- Enhance Employee Experience: Use data, feedback, and operational insights to improve employee and leadership experiences across key employee lifecycle milestones.
You will fit great with the following skills and qualifications
- Experience in People Operations, HR Operations, Employee Experience, or a comparable operational role within a fast-paced environment

Previous people leadership experience or demonstrated readiness to lead a small team
- Experience supporting international employee populations and multi-country operations
- Strong process improvement mindset with a passion for operational excellence
- Experience working with HR systems (Personio, ADP, etc.), workflows, automation, and digital solutions
- Curiosity and enthusiasm for leveraging AI and technology to improve employee experience
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of the organization
- A pragmatic, structured, and solutions-oriented approach to work
