- establishment of interdisciplinary and international research collaborations and contribution to
collaborative research initiatives within CeTI.
Requirements:
- a university degree and a PhD in a relevant field such as communication engineering, computer
science, information theory, electrical engineering, applied mathematics, or a closely related
discipline
- a high-level academic qualification with proven research expertise and professional experience in
the field of molecular communication and synthetic biological intelligence
- research experience in the field of next-generation communication systems, including
softwarized networks (e.g. SDN/NFV), network virtualization, or novel communication paradigms
such as molecular or quantum communication
- experience in applying for and carrying out challenging and complex research projects, as well as
in research management
- proven experience in successfully securing competitive external funding (e.g. DFG, EU), as well as
a track record of academic visibility demonstrated through international publications and
collaborations
- leading experience, ideally within interdisciplinary and international teams
- experience in interdisciplinary research, particularly at the interface between communication,
computing, information theory, artificial intelligence and cyber-physical systems
- knowledge and experience in the development and application of theoretical, experimental, and
computational methods for the analysis, design, and optimization of complex communication and
information systems
- excellent communication skills, particularly with regard to effective collaboration within a diverse,
collaborative and interdisciplinary research environment
- excellent written and spoken English
