About The Team
You’ll be joining the JINGDONG Logistics team, which values collaboration, ownership, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
JD Logistics is seeking an enthusiastic and results-oriented Warehouse Outbound Team Leader to oversee and motivate a team of outbound warehouse associates. You will be responsible for ensuring daily outbound targets (order picking, packing, sorting, and dispatching) are met or exceeded, fostering a productive and safety-conscious work environment, and driving continuous improvement in outbound warehouse operations.
Lead, coach, and motivate a team of outbound warehouse associates to achieve individual and team performance targets (productivity, accuracy, on-time dispatch).
Monitor team performance, analyze operational data (e.g., picks per hour, error rates, cutoff time adherence), and provide regular feedback and performance reviews.
Develop and implement effective outbound standard operating procedures (SOPs) and exception-handling processes to maximize accuracy and timeliness.
Train new team members on WMS systems, warehouse layout, picking/packing techniques, safety protocols, and company policies.
Ensure adherence to quality standards (e.g., packaging specifications, label accuracy, load verification) and compliance with safety and operational procedures.
Resolve escalated order discrepancies or operational issues (e.g., damaged goods, misships, shortages) and guide team members on complex floor-level problems.
Collaborate with other warehouse functions (e.g., inbound, inventory control, systems support) and transportation teams to optimize the overall fulfillment process.
Prepare and present regular reports on team performance, operational challenges, and improvement initiatives to the Warehouse Manager.
Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement (e.g., pick path optimization, wave strategy adjustments, equipment upgrades) and efficiency gains within the outbound team.
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Proven track record of achieving and exceeding outbound KPIs (e.g., order cycle time, accuracy rate, cutoff time adherence).
Excellent leadership, coaching, and motivational skills for a floor-level operational environment.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to analyze operational data (e.g., backlog rates, pick path efficiency, wave completion rates) and make data-driven decisions.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle high-pressure situations (peak seasons, equipment failures, short-staffing) effectively.
A proactive, results-oriented, and customer-focused mindset.
