You’ll shape how our robots move, sense, and respond, turning control theory into real-world performance
You’ll push existing products further and bring new prototypes to life with both state-of-the-art and experimental methods. In practice, that means:
-
Exploring advanced algorithms, controllers, calibration, digital signal processing and finding what actually works on hardware
-
Implementing those algorithms in C++ and Python (and Matlab/Simulink when it fits)
-
Designing and running test benches that reveal true system performance
-
Building software for data acquisition and processing
-
Identifying dynamic system properties
-
Connecting the stack end to end: embedded firmware, middleware, backends, and analysis platforms
-
Hunting down and fixing interoperability issues across systems and devices
-
3+ years as a control system engineer or mathematician
-
3+ years in embedded software development, building scalable, high-performance systems
-
Strong grounding in control theory, advanced control algorithms, and DSP
-
Solid proficiency in C++, Python, and Matlab
-
Enough electrical and mechanical fluency to read schematics and reason about sensors and components
-
Working knowledge of electric motors and motor control
-
Familiarity with communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet, EtherCAT, TCP/IP)
-
Comfort with professional tooling (git, GitLab, Confluence, JIRA, etc.)
-
Experience with robotic systems is a strong plus
At FRANKA ROBOTICS - we build robots with ethics, which comes with great responsibility, creating state-of-the-art award-winning technology made to improve human lives and change our world for the better. Every day is filled with hard and exciting work, and the ability to take game-changing decisions from day one. We seek a hands-on mindset of those who strive for results, but enjoy the process of getting there.
Franka Robotics GmbH, formerly known as Franka Emika, is a fully owned subsidiary of Agile Robots SE. Agile Robots SE is an international high-tech company based in Munich (GER) with a production site in Kaufbeuren and more than 1900 employees worldwide.
