We are looking for an analytical and highly motivated Working Student (m/f/d) in IT to join our team. You will work alongside our IT Team Lead and IT team to handle day-to-day office operations, from onboarding new joiners and setting up devices to solving real-time hardware glitches using structured, logical problem-solving steps.
Responsibilities:

Act as a reliable point of contact for daily IT issues, using logical steps to resolve software, hardware, and peripheral issues while assisting the team with regular system upgrades, patches, and installations.

Support our system Administrators with our IT onboarding process, ordering new devices, and maintaining the hardware inventory.

Work alongside our IT team to assist with network infrastructure configuration, including switches (Aruba/HPE), firewalls, VPNs, routing, and backup systems.

Support the team in driving internal efficiency by utilizing basic scripting languages and tools, such as Python, PowerShell, or Google Apps Script, to optimize workflow tools and documentation

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program at a German university / university of applied sciences in Computer Science, IT, or another MINT field (like Physics, Mathematics, or Engineering) with a strong IT affinity and practical experience or interest in troubleshooting and hardware/software maintenance. You must be based in the Ulm area to allow for easy on-site office visits.

Excellent analytical problem-solving skills with a structured approach to diagnosing hardware and system malfunctions.

A genuine interest in IT infrastructure, system administration, and network configurations.

Comfortable navigating standard operating systems (Microsoft/Linux).

Strong English language skills are required to support our international team. German language skills are considered a distinct advantage.

Can dedicate a minimum of 18 hours per week with a minimum commitment of 12 months for the position.
