WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT TO US
In SimCorp, we assist some of the largest financial institutions in the world to be efficient by simplifying their investment, accounting, and operations processes. We do this through IT systems, processes, and financial knowledge. Providing expert-level support and implementing our software solutions by way of high-quality projects is at the core of what we do. The main purpose of the role is to contribute to the successful service delivery and implementation of our software platform SimCorp Dimension® and help enable our clients to reach their desired outcomes.
As a Lead Business Consultant, you will be part of our Application Management team in Professional Services. The team’s mission is to support and enhance the front-to-back solutions in SimCorp Dimension® for clients, to advise on standards and best practices and to build bridges between our client’s needs and our innovative software. We are looking for a candidate with knowledge and experience in Investment Operations and Trade Processing.
You will mainly work remotely for clients in Germany. During the three-weeks' SimCorp Dimension® Academy, ‘hands-on’ experience with our software system will be a part of your onboarding.
WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
- Acting as the link between clients, their support teams, SimCorp developers, and fellow consulting colleagues to analyze issues, define requirements, and drive solutions.
- Investigating customer issues, replicating and troubleshooting them internally, and coordinating resolution or suitable workarounds in collaboration with technical teams.
- Contributing to smaller implementation and enhancement initiatives by translating business requirements into solution designs, system configuration, and process improvements.
- Advising clients on workflows, processes, and best practices across front-to-back operations in financial services, based on business experience and knowledge of standard solutions.
- Facilitating discussions and workshops with clients to clarify requirements, align solutions, and support both operational topics and project-like deliveries.
- Documenting recurring issues, solutions, and implementation knowledge in internal repositories to support knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
- Maintaining close communication with clients and internal stakeholders, including development teams and management, to ensure transparency, service quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Taking ownership of assigned tasks and smaller workstreams, including coordination of dependencies, effort estimation, and timely delivery.
- Continuously building expertise in SimCorp Dimension® and the financial services domain, with the flexibility to support time-sensitive client needs when required.
WHAT WE VALUE
- Experience as an Analyst or Consultant in financial services, for example in asset management, insurance, banking, pension funds, or consulting companies.
- Solid understanding of financial services processes and operations, with the ability to connect business needs and system solutions.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- A service-oriented and collaborative mindset, with the ability to build trusted relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Experience or interest in working with software solutions, including troubleshooting, configuration, or supporting smaller implementation and enhancement initiatives.
- Curiosity, learning agility, and enthusiasm for developing expertise in SimCorp Dimension® and the broader financial services domain.
- Very good communication and consulting skills, with fluency in German and English, both spoken and written.
- We expect you to come to the office 2 days per week.
