As a Safety Enablement Engineer (f/m/d) , you will play a key role in improving the efficiency, consistency, and quality of workflows related to safety product development. You will act as a bridge across multiple functions, enabling seamless collaboration through optimized tools, automation, and well-defined methodologies.
The role combines hands-on development with architectural thinking: you will both build solutions and define frameworks that shape how safety engineering work is executed across the organization.
Your Responsibilities
- Enable efficient and standardized safety workflows across cross-functional teams
- Design, implement, and continuously improve methodologies, processes, and toolchains for safety engineering
- Develop automation solutions using scripting and APIs to improve productivity and reduce manual effort
- Ensure interoperability and integration between various engineering tools and platforms
- Leverage AI-based approaches where meaningful to enhance efficiency and data usage
- Build automated reports and dashboards (e.g., for status tracking and project transparency)
- Create and maintain high-quality documentation , consolidating insights from multiple internal systems
- Support teams in adopting improved workflows and tools, acting as a technical enabler and advisor
Your Profile
- 10+ years of relevant experience in semiconductor or a related high-tech industry
- Strong expertise in tooling, automation, and engineering workflows
- Proven experience in:
- Scripting and software development (e.g., Python, Java )
- Designing and implementing automation solutions and scalable workflows
- Experience working with engineering tools such as:
- Jira, Git (GitHub/Bitbucket)
- ELM / requirements management tools
- System modeling tools
- Safety analysis tools
- Solid understanding of configuration management environments
- Ability to operate on both levels:
- Hands-on developer (implementing scripts and integrations)
- Architect (defining methodologies and best practices)
- Experience in cross-functional collaboration and working across diverse tool landscapes
- Strong analytical mindset with a focus on efficiency, automation, and scalability
- Ideally experience with AI tools or automation platforms (e.g., Copilot, Power BI, Power Automate)
- Ideally a background in functional safety environments
