Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting
- Handle day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries and bank transactions.
- Review and process invoices, expense claims and supporting financial documents.
- Support monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing activities.
- Prepare and reconcile balance sheet accounts and ensure the accuracy of accounting records.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow information.
- Monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable and support cash flow management.
- Maintain complete and accurate financial records and documentation.
- Support VAT, tax and other statutory reporting requirements in cooperation with external tax advisors.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, banks and other professional service providers when required.
Management Accounting & Business Support
- Support the preparation of annual budgets and regular financial forecasts.
- Prepare monthly management reports and provide explanations for major budget and actual variances.
- Assist with cost analysis, expense monitoring and financial performance analysis.
- Track departmental and company expenses and support cost control initiatives.
- Provide financial data and analysis to support management decision-making.
- Assist in developing and improving internal financial reporting processes and management accounting tools.
- Support financial planning and business analysis for the European operations.
Group Reporting & Cross-Border Coordination
- Prepare financial information and reports required by the Group headquarters.
- Coordinate with the Group Finance team and other international entities on accounting and reporting matters.
- Ensure timely and accurate communication of financial information between the European company and headquarters.
- Support intercompany reconciliation and other cross-border finance activities.
- Assist in improving finance processes, internal controls and reporting efficiency as the European business continues to grow.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
- 2–3 years of relevant professional experience in finance, accounting or a similar role.
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger accounting and month-end closing.
- Interest in developing further in management accounting, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
- Experience with German accounting practices, HGB, VAT or German tax-related processes is an advantage.
- Experience working with ERP or accounting systems; SAP experience is a plus.
- Strong Excel skills and confidence in working with financial data.
- Good analytical skills, attention to detail and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Ability to work independently while cooperating effectively with an international team.
- Fluent Mandarin Chinese is required.
- Good command of English is required.
- German language skills are an advantage.
