Your tasks:
In your role, you will manage and support the company's application portfolio, ensuring stable operation, optimal performance, and high availability of business-critical services. You will be responsible for the deployment, maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting of applications running primarily in Linux-based environments. Working closely with internal IT teams, infrastructure providers, software vendors, and business stakeholders, you will identify and resolve application-related issues and drive continuous service improvements. As part of our hybrid IT landscape, you will contribute to both on-premises and cloud-hosted services. While the initial focus of the role is on Linux-based application operations, you will have the opportunity to expand your expertise in cloud technologies and support our ongoing cloud transformation journey.
Your responsibilities include:
Managing and supporting business-critical applications throughout their lifecycle
Performing application deployments, upgrades, maintenance activities, and troubleshooting
Monitoring application health, performance, and availability
Coordinating incident resolution and driving root cause analysis
Collaborating with vendors and infrastructure teams to ensure stable operations
Automating operational processes where appropriate
Contributing to operational documentation and knowledge sharing
Supporting the continuous improvement of monitoring, alerting, and operational processes
Staying up to date with industry trends and best practices in application management and cloud technologies

Your skills:
Completed Bachelor's degree or apprenticeship in Computer Science, IT Engineering, or a comparable field
Professional experience in Application Management, Application Support, System Administration, IT Operations, or a similar role
Strong knowledge of Linux-based operating environments
Experience supporting and troubleshooting business-critical applications
Good understanding of application deployment, maintenance, and operational processes
Experience with monitoring, alerting, and performance analysis tools
Basic scripting or automation skills (e.g., Shell, Python, Ansible, or similar)
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Very good communication skills (spoken and written) in English
Nice to have:
Experience with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (preferred), Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Microsoft Azure
Experience with container technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
Experience in financial services, trading environments, or other business-critical IT environments
German language skills
