We are seeking a skilled Network and Cybersecurity Administrator to design, implement, and manage the organization’s network infrastructure and security systems. This role requires deep expertise in both network engineering and cybersecurity, ensuring the continuous performance, security, and integrity of our systems.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with network devices, protocols, and security measures, alongside the ability to proactively identify and mitigate potential security risks while coordinating changes within a global enterprise organization. This role plays a critical part in supporting a secure, highly available network spanning multiple corporate offices and data centers across the US, AMER, EMEA, and APAC regions.
Key Responsibilities
- Global Infrastructure Operations: Design, configure, and maintain the global corporate network infrastructure (LAN/WAN)—including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs—across all international offices and data centers, ensuring maximum uptime and performance.
- Security & Risk Mitigation: Implement and manage robust network security measures to safeguard sensitive data, prevent unauthorized access, and protect corporate assets across distinct geographical regions.
- Monitoring & Threat Detection: Monitor network traffic and security logs to detect, analyze, and address potential threats, vulnerabilities, or anomalous behavior.
- Audits & Compliance: Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to ensure system robustness and alignment with global data standards.
- Incident Response: Provide tier-3 incident response and disaster recovery for network-related security breaches, performance bottlenecks, or connectivity failures.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with IT, systems, and security teams worldwide to design secure network solutions for new business projects and initiatives.
- Documentation & Standards: Develop and maintain meticulous network documentation, network topology diagrams, and global security policies.
- Vendor & Carrier Management: Coordinate with global internet service providers (ISPs), hardware vendors, and transit partners across multiple time zones.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay current on evolving industry trends, emerging threats, and best practices in network engineering and cybersecurity.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- At least 3 years proven experience in network engineering and cybersecurity, with a clear focus on managing enterprise-level, multi-regional networks.
- Knowledge of core network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, BGP, OSPF) and network security principles (Firewalls, VPNs, ZTNA, SASE, CASB).
- Hands-on experience with network monitoring, traffic analysis, and management tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to work effectively under pressure, and strong communication skills with cross-functional teams.
- Proficient in communicating in the English language (written and verbal).
Preferred Technical Skills & Experience
- Architecture & Cloud: Familiarity with cloud security practices, hybrid network architectures, and public cloud IaaS/PaaS networking (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a big plus.
- Automation: Familiarity with infrastructure automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, Terraform, Ansible).
- Compliance Frameworks: Knowledge of international compliance and security standards (e.g., GDPR, ISO27001, SOX, IATF, TISAX) is a strong plus.
- Specialized Environments: Knowledge of engineering or high-performance computing (HPC) applications (e.g., SLURM, IBM LSF) is a plus.
- Certifications: CCNA, CCENT, Network+, AWS, Azure, CISSP etc. is a plus.
Platform-Specific Knowledge
While we do not expect a single candidate to possess deep expertise in every platform listed, functional knowledge of some of the following (or similar equivalents) is preferred:
- Network Security & SASE: Experience with next-generation firewalls and cloud security platforms (e.g., FortiGate, Palo Alto Prisma SASE, Cato Networks, pfSense, Tailscale, or OpenDNS/Cisco Umbrella).
- Enterprise Switching & Network OS: Hands-on experience with enterprise switching platforms and open/traditional network operating systems (e.g., Cisco, Ubiquiti UniFi, FSOS, Cumulus OS, SONiC, or VyOS).
- Virtualization: Functional knowledge of data center virtualization platforms, specifically VMware.
