Job Description
As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and reliable infrastructure and deployment processes. You will work closely with development, QA, and technical teams to automate deployments, improve system reliability, and optimize application delivery across development, staging, and production environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application development and deployment.
- Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure, preferably using AWS or Azure.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment processes.
- Manage application deployments across development, staging, and production environments.
- Work with Docker and Kubernetes to build and manage containerized applications.
- Monitor system performance, availability, security, and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure, deployment, networking, and production issues.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
- Collaborate with developers and QA teams to improve release processes and deployment workflows.
- Manage source control, branching, and release processes using Git.
- Implement backup, disaster recovery, security, and monitoring solutions.
- Maintain technical documentation for infrastructure, deployments, and operational procedures.
- Continuously improve infrastructure, automation, and DevOps practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in DevOps, Cloud, or Infrastructure Engineering.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong knowledge of Linux administration, networking, and system troubleshooting.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
- Experience with Terraform, Ansible, or other Infrastructure as Code tools.
- Strong knowledge of Git and version control workflows.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools.
- Knowledge of cloud security, networking, and access management.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing production environments and enterprise applications.
- Experience with Azure DevOps and Microsoft Azure.
- Knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, and CloudWatch.
- Experience with Kubernetes administration and container orchestration.
- Familiarity with Python, Bash, or PowerShell scripting.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and cloud security.
- Experience with database deployment, migration, and backup processes.
- Familiarity with microservices and distributed application architectures.
