Sloboda Studio, a forward-thinking company with a 13-year history, is actively seeking a Chief Technical Officer for establishing and managing a department focused on best practices, ensuring quality control in development across all projects, and actively participating in pre-sales. This role involves developing ground rules and associated documentation, implementing an effective onboarding system, and much more. Core Responsibilities
Lead Development and Scaling: Oversee the development, maintenance, and expansion
of projects using a full stack approach, including expertise in Ruby, Python, Java,
and Frontend technologies. Ensure seamless project progression from start to finish,
maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency
Pre-Sales Leadership and Architectural Design: Engage in pre-sales with visually compelling slides
for effective communication with clients. Build the project architecture and WBS to ensure
a thorough understanding of the project scope and requirements
Accurate Project Estimation: Conduct precise and realistic project estimations and resource planning,
ensuring optimal allocation and utilisation of resources
Technical Documentation and Standards: Organise the development of technical documentation,
coding standards, and data transfer procedures and policies. Ensure compliance to best practices
Onboarding Methodologies: Develop and implement effective onboarding techniques and processes for technical specialists, facilitating their smooth integration into the team
Team Audit and Optimization: Perform audits to improve current team performance, implement essential changes and introduce a clear roadmap for developer growth, along with a competency matrix, to guide skill development and career advancement
Technical Problem-Solving and Team Motivation: Provide expert troubleshooting and resolve complex technical issues within projects, ensuring stability and efficiency. Utilise strong leadership skills and soft skills to effectively manage and motivate your team. Create a positive and productive work environment
Organizing Technical Educational Lectures: Coordinate and host technical lectures for the tech team, focusing on technologies and challenges directly relevant to current projects. Aim to enhance practical skills and knowledge, fostering professional growth and immediate application in project work
Requirements
Expertise in Ruby, Python, Java, and Frontend Technologies: Proficient in full-stack development
System Architecture Skills: Ability to design and present scalable and efficient architectures
Security Knowledge: Experienced in implementing robust security protocols in software development
Leadership in Full-Stack Environments: Proven track record of successfully leading technical teams
English Proficiency: Strong command of English for effective communication (Upper intermediate +)
Technical Documentation: Skilled in creating and managing technical documentation and coding standards
Machine Learning Experience: Knowledge of or interest in machine learning, data science and/or BigData is a significant advantage
