Gates is looking for a Data Analytics Engineer, Products & Pricing who will play a critical hands-on role in building and implementing data and digital solutions that enable data-driven decision making. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining data pipelines, dashboards, and analytical tools supporting Product Management, Pricing, and portfolio execution.
The role focuses on transforming fragmented and inconsistent data into scalable, reliable decision‑support solutions across PLM, Pricing, and R&D domains. Working closely with the Program Manager, Products & Pricing, the role executes agreed priorities, processes, and digitalization initiatives. The Data Analytics Engineer, Products & Pricing partners closely with Product, Pricing, Digital, and IT teams to ensure solutions are practical, adopted, and embedded in daily business operations.
- Digitalizes and automates Product Management and Pricing processes by implementing data models, dashboards, and analytical solutions.
- Transforms fragmented and inconsistent data into reliable, structured insights that support decision-making across Product and Commercial teams.
- Builds and maintains data models, Lakehouse architecture, BI and AI Tools using and integrating data from various sources such as ERP, CRM, Production systems supporting PLM and portfolio management, pricing and margin analysis, rebate strategy, product performance tracking, and R&D roadmaps.
- Replaces manual, Excel-based processes by developing reusable toolkits such as segmentation models, scorecards, and portfolio views.
- Ensures data transparency, consistency, and accessibility through well-designed data structures and analytical tools.
- Works closely with the Product Operating Model & Delivery Lead to align tools with agreed priorities, workflows, and decision forums.
- Supports evaluation and selection of pricing and rebate management software, including hands-on assessment of technical fit, data integration, and make-versus-buy analysis.

- University degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with 5 to 7 years professional experience ideally in the industrial or manufacturing sector.
- Hands-on experience working with complex, imperfect, and fragmented datasets, ideally in pricing or portfolio analytics.
- Strong practical experience with Python, SQL, and BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable data models, dashboards, and automation solutions.
- Solid business understanding with focus on creating practical tools rather than analysis only.
- Experience integrating and structuring data from enterprise systems such as ERP (ideally SAP) or CRM platforms.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights.
