About the Role
The IQGeo Europe Sales team is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer in Germany to support sales activity by providing technical expertise of software products and the Telco/Utility industry to existing and potential customers. This role is customer-facing and supports the Sales team and industry executives during the sales process. The role will be key in formulating customer requirements and our proposed solution, responsible for the definition, implementation of utilities product demonstrations to customers and supporting the bid process. Creating and demonstrating how the software works to solve real problems will require your ingenuity, creativity, and strong communication skills.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Pre-Sales Support
- Partner with account directors to qualify opportunities and define customer-specific solution strategies.
- Deliver compelling product demonstrations aligned with customer needs.
- Assist in creating technical proposals, RFP responses, and detailed solution architectures.
- Technical Expertise
- Maintain deep knowledge of IQGeo’s platform and its application to telecom and utility workflows (e.g., fiber design, network operations).
- Understand customer environments (GIS, OSS/BSS, field operations) and integration points.
- Keep up to date with industry trends, technology, and competitor products.
- Consultative Engagement
- Conduct discovery sessions to identify customer challenges, ROI goals, and business drivers.
- Translate customer requirements into IQGeo-specific solutions and articulate clear business value.
- Build technical relationships and stakeholder advocacy
- Enablement & Advocacy
- Support channel partners with technical guidance and training.
- Represent IQGeo at industry events, webinars, and customer workshops.
- Feedback Loop
- Capture customer feedback and communicate functional requirements to product management.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of demo environments, sales tools, and technical documentation.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Ability to build demonstrations to present to the customer (end users, technical experts, IT experts, senior management) and internal Sales Directors.
- Experience with Geospatial Information Systems (GIS), web mapping (ESRI, QGIS, Smallworld) or visual AI.
- Industry experience with Telco/Electric networks and optionally Gas
- Familiarity with related industry solutions
- Excellent listening and oral and written communication skills; the ability to articulate technical solutions and how they can solve customer's business problems to all audiences from the very technical to non-technical.
- Excellent sales and customer service skills.
- Fluency in English is required.
Education & Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in a relevant Industry, Engineering or Technical subject.
- Minimum 5 year of technology and industry experience.
