THE POSITION
As part of the continued growth of our business in continental Europe, we are currently seeking a talented intern to join our dynamic Compliance team in Frankfurt as a working student or intern. The compliance function is a critical part of any organization, ensuring that the company adheres to all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. In this role, you will be at the forefront of ensuring our compliance with regulatory standards across 30+ core countries. You will work closely with the EMEA compliance team, including the Financial Crime functions, to support a range of activities that enhance our investment management services and fund distribution.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As a working student or intern you will have the opportunity to gain a wide range of practical experience.
Learn about the business processes and the investment management industry to identify and manage potential regulatory risks that the organization might face.
Implementing measures to mitigate these risks such as creating and updating policies and procedures to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
Interact with the various stakeholders (business owners, management and regulators) advising the business on compliance matters, ensuring that policies are communicated effectively to all employees, providing training programs to educate employees about compliance requirements and raise awareness about the importance of compliance and ethical behaviour.
Supporting the audits to identify any compliance issues and address them promptly.
Acting as a liaison between the organization and regulatory bodies (BaFin, Bundesbank, Bank of Italy Consob and CNMV).
Reporting on the effectiveness of compliance controls.
DESIRED ATTRIBUTES
Fluency in both German and English.
Be studying towards Bachelors or Masters (especially those with Law LLB background)
Basic understanding of compliance and regulatory standards.
Interest in learning about financial services and investment operations.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
