In this role, you will play a key role in building, wiring, maintaining, and testing critical infrastructure and custom equipment used across our experimental and production environments to ensure high reliability and safety of electrical components and systems. You will collaborate with a passionate team where vibrant teamwork is the foundation for creating world-changing technology.
Electrical design and manufacturing: Layout, wire up and document inter- and intrasystem connections, rack assemblies, control cabinets, panels; advise other employees regarding finding a solution to electronics-related issues.
Installation and integration: Install and commission electrical parts and systems within laboratory space.
Maintenance and troubleshooting: Preventive maintenance, diagnose faults and perform repairs on wiring, systems, devices.
Testing, compliance and quality assurance: Run acceptance & safety tests (DGUV/VDE, PE resistance, EMC…), manage test records; functional testing of assemblies.
Management: Manage tools, inventory and workspace.
Qualification as an electrician in accordance with VDE1000-10, DGUV V3 / BGVA3: Completed apprenticeship as an electrical engineer or similar, or completed degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, or a comparable field.
Strong practical skills in wiring, crimping, soldering.
Confident with measurement equipment: multimeter, continuity/insulation testers, oscilloscope, LCR meters…
Clear communicator (English or German), organized, proactive, detail‑oriented.
Practical, hands-on approach to installation and troubleshooting activities.
Familiar with DIN/VDE/DGUV basics and safe work practices, commitment to safety and high technical standards.
Experience with industrial electrical systems, panel design, and control wiring.
Experience supporting complex R&D or scientific equipment installations.
Bonus: PLC/embedded I/O, ECAD & labeling systems, vacuum/laser‑lab experience.
