Security Assurance earns customer trust by providing transparency into AWS's security posture across customer, regulatory, and third-party assurance programs. Rather than focusing solely on compliance against specific regulations, the Security Assurance team plays a pivotal role in earning and maintaining trust in the security of AWS, working with the world's most sophisticated organizations to provide the confidence enterprise customers, regulators and third-party auditors need about the security of customer critical workloads deployed on AWS. This is vastly different from a typical assurance and compliance function: we operate at internet scale, across hundreds of certifications and thousands of individual controls, with a proactive, hands-on approach that goes far beyond evaluating compliance.
We are seeking an exceptional executive leader to serve as Director and EMEA Regional Leader for Security Assurance. This is one of three global regional leadership positions, reporting directly to the Global Director of Security Assurance, and represents a unique opportunity to shape how the world's leading cloud provider engages with Europe's most prominent enterprise customers, regulators, and third-party auditors.
Do you have a passion for leading at the intersection of security, regulation, and customer trust? Do you have experience building and scaling professional services organizations that deliver assurance at the highest levels? Do you have a vision for how security assurance, transparency, and regulatory engagement will evolve in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa? Do you want to lead that future with AWS?
Key job responsibilities
As EMEA's most senior Security Assurance leader, you will lead the effort in shaping how AWS demonstrates its security commitments to our customers and stakeholders. You will lead a growing organization of professionals across three critical product lines, partnering with marquee enterprise customers, regulatory authorities, and third-party auditors.
Your strategic decisions will directly shape AWS's ability to deliver security assurance at a pivotal time of increasing customer and regulatory requirements and expectations, with DORA enforcement, NIS2 implementation, and evolving sovereignty expectations (to name a few) reshaping the landscape. You will routinely engage with the most senior levels of AWS leadership and have the opportunity to influence security strategy through deep engagement with public policy, legal, and engineering teams, as well as industry-level impact through direct engagement with enterprise customers, regulators, and third-party auditors.
This is not a role for someone who simply manages compliance, it is for an executive who knows how to lead a dynamic, growing mission-focused organization, build strategic customer relationships, and deliver exceptional outcomes at scale.
Regional Strategy & Executive Leadership
- Serve as the most senior AWS Security Assurance representative across EMEA, owning the regional strategy and providing executive-level operational oversight across three product lines: Enterprise Customer, Regulatory, and Third-Party Audit Serve as the primary technology voice influencing decisions on product direction, go-to-market investment, and customer engagement models.

- Effectively navigate change as the Security Assurance organization continues to evolve and scale.
Customer & Regulatory Engagement
