The role:
As a Senior HR Specialist at Fragomen you will provide comprehensive HR support across 2 of our offices in Europe, focusing on flawless execution, efficiency, and compliance with local regulations. You will work closely with the Senior HR Manager for Germany and Switzerland and you will collaborate with other EMEA HR functions across the region, including Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Talent Development, and Shared Services.
What your day will look like:
You will be recognized as a knowledgeable and trusted advisor to our employees in Germany and Switzerland. You will manage a diverse workload, encompassing HR compliance, payroll & benefits, vendor management, and addressing daily queries from employees and managers. Additionally, you'll engage with various HR projects and employee relations issues. You'll drive local strategic HR initiatives, bringing creativity and innovative ideas to the table.
Other key responsibilities will include:
- Employee Experience: Partner with Talent Acquisition to ensure smooth onboarding. Act as the first line of support for HR queries, ensuring timely responses and escalating matters as needed
- HR Expertise: Stay updated on employment legislation in Germany and Switzerland to ensure compliance. Act as a trusted advisor on these topics
- HR Systems & Payroll: Regularly update HR systems and ensure the flawless processing of monthly payroll
- Benefits Administration: Review and administer benefits packages in collaboration with the Total Rewards team
- Vendor Management: Be the main contact for HR vendors (payroll, bike leasing, fitness, insurances, pension provider, etc.)
- Policy Development: Improve existing HR policies and create new ones in compliance with local regulations
- Health & Safety: Champion health & safety, liaise with company doctors, and organize regular (mental) health activities
- Diversity & Well-being: Lead initiatives around diversity and well-being, partnering with Talent Development and the business on training activities

Our EMEA HR team consists of over 30 dedicated professionals based in various locations across Europe, the Midde East and Africa. Together, we provide dynamic and engaging support for the Firm's diverse HR needs.
What we are looking for:
- Languages : Business fluency in German and English
- Education & Experience: A bachelor’s degree in HR or a related field and 5+ years of relevant HR experience, preferably in an international and fast-paced environment
- Skills : Experience with German and Swiss payroll and HR policies is essential. Knowledge of local labour legislation and local benefits programmes is crucial
- Attributes: Detail-oriented, highly organised and able to prioritise effectively. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and able to interact effectively and build trusted relationships at all levels
- Confidentiality & Independence: Comfortable handling confidential information and working independently, with a commitment to working to tight deadlines
- Values: Accountability, integrity, and transparency are all critical to success

- If shortlisted, you will be invited to participate in our interview process, which will consist of at least two stages, one of which will be conducted in-person. Depending on the role, you may also be required to complete a written assessment.
