Job Description:
Eurodrone Programme:
With its ground-breaking industrial and commercial setup and its unique certification and flexibility, the European Medium Altitude Long Endurance (MALE) Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (RPAS) showcases how European industry can find innovative ways to support strategic autonomy needs and prepare for the Future Combat Air System. The European MALE RPAS is not just the first programme to fully implement digital design manufacturing and services (DDMS). It is also seen as a ‘light-house’ programme, not only within Airbus, but also for the entire aeronautics industry in Europe.
Become part of the UAS business and rise to the challenges ahead!
Mission and activities:
In the Airbus Defence and Space Military Aircraft Simulation Domain, we develop top-notch, high-fidelity engineering and training simulations for a variety of aircraft, supporting the entire development lifecycle.
Under the term “Virtual Engineering” (VE), the VE team is establishing a new way of working within the European MALE RPAS (Eurodrone) programme. Our mission is to generate and deploy a central simulation framework, including all associated governance, processes, and tools, to support the development, integration, and verification of the European MALE RPAS. We also develop and build the Eurodrone Training Simulators.
For the Eurodrone Virtual Engineering project, we are looking for a Model Integration Specialist to join our international Joint Model Office (JMO) team. As a Model Integration Specialist, you will be responsible for the integration of an assigned group of real-time capable simulation models and software artefacts into the VE reference simulation. These models and artefacts are developed and delivered by the VE model suppliers and are representative of the MALE RPAS aircraft systems and the external environment. You will also actively support the model verification, validation, and their final deployment in the Eurodrone Simulation Lab, the target ED test benches, and training devices. As part of an international and multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in this important program for Airbus Defence and Space.

Support the JMO System Engineering team with the definition of simulation-specific test cases, prepare and execute the associated test scripts
Generate, review, accept model interface specification and associated change requests
Support the JMO Design Architects and the Model Development Teams regarding model design, ICD maturation, development, and pre-integration activities
