Software Tester / QA Engineer – SaaS (m/f/d)
In this role, you will help our development teams embed quality from the very beginning of the software development process. You will accompany new features from requirements definition through to release, ensuring that requirements are testable and that quality aspects are considered early on. Working closely with Product Owners and Developers, you will define test cases, identify risks, and support the delivery of high-quality software solutions.
Your responsibilities
- Actively participate in refinement sessions and alignment meetings to assess quality aspects and the testability of requirements at an early stage
- Support new features throughout the development lifecycle from requirements definition to implementation from a QA perspective
- Define and maintain test cases for user stories and features in close collaboration with Product Owners and Developers
- Document and maintain test cases in the central test repository to support feature and release testing
- Execute feature tests and document test results
- Identify, document, and track defects using Jira
- Support development teams in analyzing defects, edge cases, and potential quality risks
- Continuously expand and refine test coverage for the features and user stories under your responsibility
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, testing methods, and test automation initiatives
Your profile
- Successfully completed ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level certification
- Hands-on experience with GitHub and Jira
- Initial to several years of experience in software quality assurance within agile development teams, ideally in a saas or b2b environment
- Solid understanding of modern software development processes and the software development lifecycle
- Experience working closely with Developers in cross-functional teams
- Ability to challenge requirements and derive testable acceptance criteria
- Structured and analytical mindset with a strong focus on quality
- Strong documentation skills
- Excellent English skills; German language skills are a plus
