In our high-tech small production runs, single part and prototype production, you will support us in the high-precision manufacture of optical components, assemblies and systems made of glass, glass ceramics and ceramics.
As a Process Engineer for Coating, you play a key role in ensuring stable, efficient, and future‑ready manufacturing processes. Your responsibilities include:
Process ownership: Independently manage assigned coating/bonding processes; take over additional processes with support from senior engineers or line management.
Monitoring & optimization: Apply Lean and Six Sigma methods (e.g. SPC) to drive continuous improvement in yield, cost, and cycle time.
Implement improvements: Execute simple optimizations independently and support more complex process changes in line with TGP.
Availability & maintenance: Ensure process availability and define maintenance plans (excluding operational maintenance activities).
Documentation & training: Create and maintain manufacturing documentation (AAWs, REZs, work instructions) and train production teams as a certified trainer.
NPI & technologies: Adapt existing processes, take over new bonding technologies, and contribute to NPI, PCCSIMs, and ramp‑up projects.
Risk, decisions & collaboration: Participate in FMEAs and ECRs, support equipment procurement, and collaborate closely across production, engineering, D&E, and R&T.
You have practical experience applying Six Sigma, SPC, PDCA, and continuous improvement methodologies.

Als Prozessingenieur:in für Beschichtungstechnologie bist du der Schlüssel für stabile, effiziente und zukunftsfähige Fertigungsprozesse. Konkret übernimmst du folgende Aufgaben:
Prozessverantwortung: Eigenständige Betreuung eines Beschichtungs‑/Bonding‑Prozesses; Übernahme weiterer Prozesse mit Support von Senior/LM.
Überwachung & Optimierung: Einsatz von Lean/Six Sigma (z. B. SPC); kontinuierliche Verbesserung von Yield, Kosten und Durchlaufzeit.
Verbesserungen umsetzen: Selbständige einfache Optimierungen sowie Unterstützung komplexer Changes inkl. TGP‑konformer Initiativen.
Verfügbarkeit & Maintenance: Sicherstellung der Prozessverfügbarkeit; Definition von Maintenance‑Plänen (ohne operative Wartung).
Dokumentation & Training: Erstellung/Pflege von AAWs, REZ, Arbeitsanweisungen; Schulung der Produktion als zertifizierte r Trainer in.
NPI & Technologien: Anpassung bestehender Prozesse, Übernahme neuer Bonding‑Technologien, Beiträge zu PCCSIMs und Ramp‑ups.
Risiken, Entscheidungen & Zusammenarbeit: Mitwirkung an FMEAs, ECRs; Gerätebeschaffung im Rahmen; enge, cross‑funktionale Zusammenarbeit mit Prod., Eng., D&E, R&T.
