We're looking for a Senior Brand Strategist to step into a critical role during a maternity cover and own the strategic brand agenda for MOIA.
This is not a role to maintain the status quo. MOIA has the ambition to become a global brand in autonomous mobility – and we need someone who can accelerate that.
You'll work at the heart of the Brand team - a cross-functional group of nine. The team brings together brand strategy, brand design & motion, brand management, and brand content expertise.
You'll be shaping how we position MOIA, defining the narratives that carry our brand forward, and ensuring strategic coherence across everything we put into the world.
This is a highly collaborative team that believes the best work happens when we bring our thinking together. Strategy here isn't done behind closed doors - it's built through conversation, challenge, and shared ownership.
You bring structure and vision, but also roll up your sleeves. You connect the dots between brand, business and culture, and you do it in a way that brings people with you.
- You own and evolve our brand strategy and positioning – sharpening our strategic narrative, ensuring we stand for something clear and compelling in a rapidly changing mobility landscape
- You develop and maintain our brand architecture and messaging framework – providing the strategic backbone that guides how MOIA shows up consistently across all channels, markets and audiences
- You embed brand thinking across the organisation – translating strategy into something people can connect with, act on and feel proud of; you understand that internal brand culture is just as important as external brand expression
- You coordinate our brand agency relationship – acting as the strategic point of contact, ensuring briefs are strong, outputs are held to the highest standard, and the partnership delivers real brand value
- You define and drive the global brand expansion roadmap – mapping out what it takes for MOIA to grow beyond its current market, building brand equity and relevance at an international level
- You own and evolve our Brand Measurement strategy – defining how we track brand health, translating data and perception signals into strategic decisions, and ensuring the team has the clarity to act on what the numbers say
- You lead and facilitate brand strategy workshops and alignment sessions – bringing together leadership, brand, product and comms stakeholders to build shared understanding and strategic direction
- You translate brand strategy into clear creative briefs – ensuring creative teams and agency partners have the strategic grounding they need to produce impactful, on-brand work
- You contribute to brand governance – helping to embed strategic thinking across the organisation so brand decisions are made with clarity and consistency, not just instinct
- You act as a strategic anchor for the Brand team – owning your topics with full responsibility while also being a sounding board, sparring partner and source of guidance for colleagues across the team
- You guide and support our Employer Branding strategy – working closely with People & Relations to sharpen how we position MOIA as an employer, ensuring it's rooted in brand thinking and tells a consistent, authentic story
- 6–10 years of experience in brand strategy, brand management or a strategic brand consultancy role – with a portfolio of work that shows real strategic impact
- Deep understanding of brand positioning, architecture, narrative development and brand-led growth
- Experience working on or with brands with international or global scope – understanding what changes when you scale across cultures, markets and contexts
- Strong ability to develop and articulate long-term brand visions and strategies that go beyond the campaign cycle and influence how an entire organisation thinks about its brand
- Confident and credible in stakeholder and leadership settings – you can present a strategic recommendation to a C-suite audience and hold your ground with conviction
- Hands-on experience working with AI tools in a brand or strategy context – such as using LLMs for research, ideation or content strategy or building AI-assisted workflows for brand consistency
- A curious, forward-thinking mindset towards AI and emerging brand technologies – you stay up to date, form your own views, and help your team navigate what's useful vs. what's hype
- Strong analytical and conceptual thinking – able to synthesise complex inputs (market data, customer insights, business strategy) into clear brand direction
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and evolving priorities – you build the structure yourself rather than waiting for it
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English; German is a plus but not required
- A collaborative, generous and proactive working style – you share what you know, flag what others need to hear, and make the team better by being part of it
How you'll work
You are embedded in the Brand team, but your thinking reaches across the whole organisation. Strategy here means being present, curious and connected – not disappearing to write a deck in isolation. You seek out the perspectives of others, you challenge constructively, and you share your thinking before it's perfect.
You operate with a high degree of ownership and initiative. This role requires someone who can step in, onboard quickly, and start driving – someone who earns trust by delivering, not by waiting for permission.
You bring a global perspective to a team that's building toward global ambition. And you use the best tools available – including AI – to do your best strategic work.
We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds — even if you don't meet every requirement. If you're excited about the role and MOIA's mission, we'd love to hear from you!
