YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Manager (m/w/d) to join a major infrastructure pipeline project at the beginning of next year. The role involves working in the offices in Kassel and Wilhelmshaven but also remotely.
Tasks may include:
- Supporting our project partner´s Head of Permitting in all environmental matters related to the offshore pipeline project
- Oversight of environmental monitoring
- Arrangement of compensation measures.
- Permitting support, and compliance with German environmental regulations.
- Responsible for the correct implementation of environmental requirements during planning and construction phase.
- Responsible for all relevant obligations aligned with project execution
REQUIREMENTS & YOUR EXPERTISE
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (4–5 years) in Marine Biology, Environmental Engineering or a related discipline (mandatory)
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience in environmental management on offshore pipeline projects, including at least one project in Germany (mandatory).
- Proven knowledge of German environmental and nature conservation legislation and approval procedures
- Documented experience in EIAs, ESPOO documentation and ecological compensation measures (e.g. Natura 2000)
- Demonstrated experience liaising with German authorities, NGOs and environmental consultants
- Willingness to travel as required.
- Full professional proficiency in English and German (spoken and written)
