The Lead BIM Coordinator is responsible for the implementation of BIM in the engineering phase of the project. He will leverage 3D modelling and coordination technology to set up 3D models, audit information, check for clashes, export BOQ (Bill of Quantity), sheets, IFC (Industry Foundation Classes) and NWC (Navisworks Cache). The Lead BIM coordinator is also responsible for federating the models within his task team and maintaining the respective TIDP (Task Information Delivery Plan). The Lead BIM Coordinator is also responsible for the development and maintenance of Revit and Navisworks templates in accordance with Exyte standards.

Template development and maintenance:
Develop templates for various software (Revit/Navisworks/Synchro 4D etc.) of authoring and coordination software for their respective trade. Continuously enhance and maintain the templates as per project and company needs. Developing Dynamo scripts.
Set up modelling environment:
set up the Revit models using Exyte standard templates for the task team. Ensure that all standards are respected (model structure and naming conventions) by regularly auditing the models.
Integrate the information packages as requested by the client for every project phase
Ensure the project LOIN (Level of Information Need) is properly enforced; by making sure all parameters are added to the models, and the information is properly filled when it is needed.
Supervise and control the work of BIM authors (engineers and designers)
Support and guide the BIM authors by providing them feedback on the information quality of the model and on the coordination state by performing clash detections and reporting back to the engineering team
Data Drops:
the BIM Coordinator is responsible for data drops (publishing of new model version and document packages) and of creating and exporting of all required deliverables (IFC, 2D sheets, BOQs...), exporting NWC for federation.

Show your expertise

Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience

Strong character/Leadership qualities. Highly organized, structured and initiative taker

Previous experience in Pharma projects or industrial construction is a strong advantage

Strong expertise in modelling, coordination, and collaboration tools and common data environments (e.g. Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360, Autodesk Forma)
Good understanding of IFC schema as well as IFC import and export requirements in Revit

Fluent in German and English
