For the Institute of Stochastics we are looking for an

- PhD degree in mathematics
- Strong programming skills in Python, Matlab or R are preferred
- Excellent written and spoken English skills
- High level of commitment and the ability to work independently and reliably
- Research on spatial stochastic modeling of microscopic image data in 2D, 3D and 4D
- Usage of AI-based methods such as generative adversarial neural networks
- Interdisciplinary research projects with various kinds of materials and partner groups
- PostDoc scholarship for two years with the possibility of prolongation by one year
