As our Global Commodity Director – Electronics & Mechatronics Components (m/f/d), you will:
Category Strategy

Define and continuously update the global Electronics & Mechatronics commodity strategy

Translate business objectives into sourcing and supplier development roadmaps

Identify technology trends, market developments, and cost drivers
-
Develop long-term sourcing strategies supporting growth, resilience and innovation

Establish commodity KPIs and improvement targets
Supplier Management
-
Own relationships with strategic global suppliers

Drive supplier segmentation and supplier rationalization
-
Lead supplier performance improvement initiatives
-
Evaluate and approve new suppliers
-
Lead strategic supplier development programs
-
Ensure compliance with quality, financial and sustainability requirements
Commercial & Cost Management
-
Lead global commercial negotiations
-
Develop and execute cost reduction initiatives
-
Drive value engineering and should-cost programs
-
Negotiate LTAs, pricing models and commercial frameworks
-
Monitor commodity indices, inflation impacts and electronic component market trends
-
Deliver annual savings and productivity targets
Supply Chain Risk Management

Identify supply chain vulnerabilities
-
Develop dual-sourcing and regionalization strategies
-
Monitor geopolitical, trade and semiconductor market risks

Lead crisis management activities related to disruptions and shortages
-
Ensure business continuity plans are in place for critical components
Education
-
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Procurement or related field
-
Master's degree or MBA preferred
Experience
-
10+ years of strategic procurement experience
-
Minimum 5 years in global category/commodity leadership
-
Strong experience in electronics and mechatronics sourcing within automotive or industrial sectors
-
Proven track record managing global suppliers and complex negotiations
-
Experience leading international procurement teams
Technical Knowledge

Semiconductor market dynamics

Wire harnesses, connectors and electromechanical systems

Cost modelling and should-cost analysis

Automotive industry requirements (IATF, APQP, PPAP preferred)
