Innovation Program Manager (m/f/d)
Major Responsibilities:
Funded Project Management
- Operational coordination of strategic European and national funded programs (e.g., EU Chips Act, IPCEI, Horizon Europe and national R&D projects).
- Act as a key point of contact for public authorities, funding agencies, and project consortia on project-related matters.
- Monitor funded project progress, milestones, deliverables, risks, and reporting obligations; proactively identify and escalate potential issues.
- Coordinate regular project review meetings with project managers and key stakeholders.
- Review project reports and activities to ensure compliance with funding regulations.
- Support annual audits, cost tracking, timesheet compliance, and subsidy recovery activities.
Project Development & Governance
- Support the initiation of new funded projects in collaboration with internal Business Units, R&D teams, and external partners.
- Coordinate internal approval processes, including preparation of New Project Review (NPR) documentation.
- Maintain project dashboards, reporting schedules, and governance processes across multiple funded projects.
Technology & Innovation Support
Develop a strong understanding of X-FAB technologies, manufacturing processes, and strategic innovation topics.
Support the assessment of new technology opportunities and collaborative R&D initiatives.
Contribute to the protection and exploitation of innovation results arising from funded projects.
Requirements:
-Educational qualification - Bachelor’s or, Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science or a related field.
- Experience in managing R&D, innovation, or publicly funded projects.
- Good understanding of European and national funding programs and grant management.
- Strong interest in semiconductor technologies, manufacturing processes, and emerging technology trends.
- Ability to understand complex technical topics and coordinate across multidisciplinary teams.
- Structured and proactive working style with strong organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Very good written and spoken English and German (French is an added advantage).
- Availability to travel within Europe.
- Proven experience working effectively in multicultural and international environments.
