Senior Test Engineer:
Within the Aerospace & Defence division, the selected candidate will be involved in testing, validation, and verification activities for aeronautical systems, contributing to high-tech projects in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and key clients.
The role involves responsibility for defining the test strategy, coordinating technical activities, and supporting design decisions, while interfacing with internal stakeholders, clients, and certification authorities.
Key Responsibilities
Define test strategies, methodologies, and plans for complex aeronautical systems
Lead and supervise the execution of tests (structural, environmental, vibrational, and functional)
Validate and interpret test data, providing technical recommendations and decision-making support
Ensure the quality and compliance of technical documentation and final test reports
Coordinate external suppliers and test laboratories, ensuring technical alignment and compliance with requirements
Interface with clients and certification authorities on validation and regulatory compliance aspects
Drive continuous improvement of test methods, processes, and tools (automation, digitalization, advanced data analysis)
Support and mentor junior and mid-level team members in their technical growth
Requirements
Degree in Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields
Solid experience in test engineering within the aviation / aerospace industry
Strong experience in defining test specifications, test plans, and test procedures
Extensive experience in executing and supervising structural, environmental, vibrational, and functional tests
Advanced skills in measurement data analysis and validation
Experience in drafting and reviewing complex technical documentation
In-depth knowledge of aeronautical systems
Hands-on experience with certification and regulatory compliance activities
Technical Skills
Proficiency in data acquisition systems (DAQ) and advanced measurement instrumentation
Strong experience with test benches, jigs & tools
Advanced use of data analysis tools (MATLAB, Python, advanced Excel, or equivalent)
Experience in test automation and development of scripts/software solutions (e.g., Python, LabVIEW, or similar)
In-depth knowledge of aerospace standards and regulations (e.g., DO-160, MIL-STD, or equivalent)
Advanced ability to interpret technical specifications and engineering drawings
Experience with requirements and test management tools (e.g., DOORS, Polarion, Jira, or equivalent)
Familiarity with advanced data analysis approaches and large dataset management
Nice to Have
Experience in technical leadership or ownership of work packages
Experience in complex industrial environments and structured aerospace programs
Contribution to innovation initiatives (e.g., digital testing, model-based testing, AI applied to testing)
