The Senior Manager - Product Management (m/f/d) for Data Connectivity Global Coaxial Solutions is responsible for revenue, standard cost, driving growth, and Operating Income as well as product portfolio management, resource allocation, and product definition with key applications for the Data Connectivity Coaxial product line. The role is part of the global Data Connectivity Product Management team and reports to the PM Director– Global Automotive Data Connectivity. The Senior Manager (m/f/d) will be responsible for the product portfolio of Coaxial Data Connectivity products within Automotive globally, incl. components as well as the Cable Assembly business.
The successful candidate will partner closely with the regional Data Connectivity Product Management leaders and teams as well as key stake holders cross-functionally. High engagement is especially expected with regional and global Sales, Operations, Project and Program Management, Procurement, Manufacturing and Product Engineering leaders. The role has a dual focus on the strategic portfolio management and “hands-on” execution e.g., in go-to-market and margin improvements.
This position can be based anywhere in EMEA remotely. International business travel is required.
The key tasks of the role to successfully getting the business to the next phase of growth include:
- Strategic Portfolio Management for the global Data Connectivity Coaxial product portfolio by understanding the various regional (customer) requirements and aligning the different regional organizations on a single Coaxial Portfolio Strategy
- Foster best practice sharing between regions enabling successful margin improvements and revenue grows
- Enablement and support of regional project execution esp. on cross-regional and large strategic projects
- Build culture of continuous improvement, which leverages best practices to drive year-over-year improvements by partnering with operations including optimization of global manufacturing footprints and driving product management excellence
- Driving the coordination of go-to-market strategies and cross-regional and cross-functional activities
- Gaining market share with data connectivity coaxial products, in alignment with key accounts to create differentiation in target applications
- Building product roadmaps in technically complex market environments
- Assess and articulate opportunities with new technological trends ensuring long-term continuous pipeline growth and enabling sales force to capture and secure new opportunities
