In this role you will
- Managing a defined portfolio related to wholesale credit risk matters
- Reviewing, recommending, and approving credit proposals for HBCE, in line with credit approval authority limits
- Maintaining strong credit quality of the portfolio, consistent with the Group’s credit culture. Promoting prudent lending principles to ensure high asset quality and minimize credit losses
- Proactively identifying and highlighting emerging risks and substandard credit exposures, ensuring appropriate actions are taken to protect the Bank’s interests
- Maintaining regular communication with stakeholders and internal clients on understanding and sharing vision, challenges and potential solutions
- Collaborating on transaction pipelines, credit guidelines, portfolio or product analyses, risk appetite definition, and other credit risk initiatives
You should apply if you have
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, finance, or a related field
- Experience in credit risk within relevant business sectors (Mid-Market/Large Corporates and Multinational Clients)
- Good understanding of HSBC’s overall operational dynamics
- Ability to collaborate at all levels of the organization both within the Risk function and with business stakeholders
- Demonstrated capacity to assess risk trends, both internally and externally
- Proven ability to prioritize competing demands
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written); German and / or French is an advantage

What you’ll get in return
The pay range for this role is 90.000,- € - 110.000,- €
The final compensation structure depends on your qualifications and the resulting contractual grading:
- Tariff grading: The compensation is governed by the collective agreement for the private banking sector (Tarifvertrag für das private Bankgewerbe).
- Non-Tariff grading: For roles outside the tariff structure, HSBC offers multiple variable pay plans, to reflect the diverse nature of the businesses, roles and markets in which we operate. Variable pay is designed to reward colleagues for their individual performance and contribution, as well as the performance of their relevant Business / Infrastructure, and the overall Group.
