The Data Science Master’s Student will support the Leica Microsystems Service organization in building the foundation for implementing preventive and predictive maintenance measures. By using and analyzing available information and data, the role will help identify, evaluate, and quantify opportunities to further expand the potential of Data Science and AI within the service environment.
This position reports to the Director Service Transformation & Digitalizationand is part of the Global Service Team located in Mannheim and will be an on-site role.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Investigate, analyze, and correlate available service, customer, and device data to identify relevant patterns and relationships.

Derive data-driven opportunities to predict and prevent customer downtime caused by microscope defects.

Collaborate closely with the Service AI teams, global service specialists, and relevant stakeholders such as Research and Development.
