Technical Project Engineer - Onshore Wind & Pre-Construction (m/f/d)
Location: Hamburg (Hybrid)
An established renewable energy business is looking for a Technical Project Engineer (m/f/d) to support the engineering design, planning, and pre-construction delivery of utility-scale onshore wind projects across Germany (additional exposure to solar PV and battery storage systems).
The role and responsibilities:
- Lead the engineering design, layout optimization, and civil/electrical concept development for onshore wind projects.
- Manage the technical preparation phase, including site suitability analyses, risk assessments, and grid connection optimization.
- Draft technical specifications, evaluate EPC/major component bids, and support contractor selection.
- Prepare preliminary drawings, technical documentation, cost estimations, and project schedules.
- Act as the technical liaison for cross-functional internal teams, external engineering consultants, and project developers.
- Conduct site visits, attend technical workshops, and participate in stakeholder meetings.
The ideal person will have:
- Degree in Engineering (open), or a related technical discipline.
- 5 years of experience within renewable energy.
- Strong experience coordinating technical stakeholders, external expert studies, and internal engineering activities.
- Knowledge of EPC tendering processes, project design planning, and technical specifications.
- Fluent German and English language skills (written and spoken).
