About ATTS
ATTS Automation Engineering GmbH is a Leipzig-based industrial automation service provider and part of the international ATTS group. We support industrial manufacturers with PLC software development, robotics, simulation, virtual commissioning, on-site commissioning, and production support, with a strong focus on automotive and other automated production environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, download, update, and test PLC programs for automated production equipment.
- Configure Siemens SIMATIC S7/TIA Portal, HMI systems, PROFINET devices, drives, sensors, field I/O, and safety systems.
- Perform I/O checks, signal verification, manual tests, automatic debugging, and production ramp-up.
- Integrate PLC systems with industrial robots, safety systems, and peripheral equipment.
- Troubleshoot PLC software, industrial networks, sensors, drives, I/O signals, and safety circuits.
- Read and apply electrical schematics, functional descriptions, ladder logic, and customer-specific standards.
- Optimise cycle time, equipment performance, and system reliability.
- Prepare software backups, test records, technical documentation, and project reports.
- Support commissioning, relocation, modification, and virtual commissioning activities.
- Coordinate technical tasks with customers and colleagues in Germany, Vietnam, and other international locations.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree or a comparable technical qualification in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Control Engineering, Computer Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
- Knowledge or practical experience in PLC programming, control systems, industrial communication, and electrical automation.
- Experience with Siemens TIA Portal/S7, HMI systems, PROFINET, drives, or safety PLCs is an advantage; university, internship, vocational, and project experience are considered.
- Applications from experienced professionals, early-career engineers, and recent graduates are welcome.
- Good English skills for international project communication; German skills are an advantage but are not required to apply.
- Structured, careful, and solution-oriented working style with a strong willingness to learn.
- Willingness to travel within Germany and, where required, other European countries, including assignments lasting several weeks.
- Valid authorisation to work in Germany, or eligibility to obtain the required work authorisation before employment begins.

- Full-time, permanent employment with a probationary period of up to six months.
- Gross annual salary from EUR 46,000, negotiable based on qualifications, technical knowledge, and relevant experience.
