- Performance analysis and characterization of quantum interferometer systems
- Modeling and simulation of Quantum Optical Coherence Tomography (QOCT) systems
- Experimental design, implementation, and validation
- Optimization and performance benchmarking of QOCT systems
- Signal processing, image reconstruction, and data analysis for OCT/QOCT systems
- Documentation interpretation, and dissemination of simulation and experimental results
What you contribute
- Enrollment in a full-time degree program at a German university, preferably in the fields of physics, engineering physics, optics, photonics, or quantum communication
- Good to very good grades
- First experiences with algorithm development preferably using Python or MATLAB
- Basic understanding of Quantum Optics and Interferometry
- Interest to learn about Fourier optics and Optical imaging
- Proactivity and interest in scientific work
- Good communication skills (German/English) and team spirit
- Hands-on laboratory experience is desirable
- Some one already in berlin or ready to move to berlin

The position is initially limited to 1 year. An extension is explicitly desired.
The monthly working time is 80 hours. This position is also available on a part-time basis.
