What to Expect
The Supply Chain Process & Systems team develops in-house systems to support reliable and efficient supply chain operations across Tesla. Our scope covers EMEA, and we work closely with our stakeholders in North America to implement global changes in Tesla’s supply chain systems. This position is based at Giga Berlin (GFBB) and will support EMEA operations while working on global supply chain initiatives.
As a Supply Chain Operations Engineer, you will manage in-house systems that support Tesla’s direct material flows — from order placement through to receiving — delivering new features, resolving bugs, and providing daily system support to operations teams. You will support system initiatives and provide daily system support for EMEA Inbound Logistics and Service & Vehicle Material Planning teams.
You will work closely with Operations, Dev, and Product teams across EMEA and North America. This is a highly visible role that bridges IT and operations, handling projects with global impact. To succeed, you must be self-motivated, comfortable in a fast-paced environment, and able to think strategically while diving into the details of system behavior, data, and operational edge cases.
What You'll Do
- Manage the roadmap for procure-to-pay flows (order booking, inbound transportation, receiving) and master data systems — gathering requirements, designing solutions, UAT testing, deployment, and post-rollout support

Provide daily system support, troubleshoot issues, and resolve bugs across these systems in EMEA

Work on inbound transportation new project delivery and system troubleshooting, partnering with the wider team

Collaborate with Ops and Dev teams globally to develop efficient features and solutions in our in-house systems that support scalability and growth

Identify gaps and opportunities for simplification, optimization, and automation across procure-to-pay, order booking, receiving, master data, and inbound logistics systems

Test systems for expected behavior before changes are released and work with relevant parties to address issues or gaps before, during, and after deployment

Develop training materials and SOPs that reflect current system behavior; monitor adoption and effectiveness

Define and monitor KPIs to track operational performance, system reliability, and software effectiveness; ensure data availability and accuracy

Provide updates on upcoming initiatives and business efficiency, and collect feedback from supply chain teams globally, to develop and drive the roadmap
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, science, supply chain, or equivalent experience or evidence of exceptional ability

Experience in supply chain, logistics, manufacturing, or business operations, and/or managing software development projects and products in a business or technical role

Familiarity with ERP / MRP / TMS systems such as SAP, Oracle, and the ability to apply that knowledge to custom-built in-house systems

Structured, data-driven, and quantitative problem-solving approach

Ability to query, analyze, and present data

Strong presentation and stakeholder management skills

Ability to successfully work with a cross-range of teams including IT, operations, and finance, and resolve issues across systems and organizational boundaries

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in supply chain operations spanning procurement, order booking, receiving, master data, planning, or transportation

Familiarity with transportation management systems, WMS systems and inbound logistics workflows

Proficiency with SQL and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Excel). Python or R for data analysis and manipulation

Familiarity with AI tools
