IT Transition Manager - German Speaking
Location: Germany-based / willing to travel to Germany or Middle East (home base UK, Poland or Germany)
Our client is a specialist consulting practice focused on large-scale IT transitions, transformations, and Global Business Services operating models. They work with organisations across multiple sectors to deliver complex, multi-stakeholder programmes that reshape how IT services are delivered. With a track record in enterprise-wide change, they support clients through every phase of transition - from planning and design through to cutover and stabilisation. Their work spans multiple countries and requires deep technical knowledge, strong governance discipline, and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments including works councils and employee representative bodies.
They are currently seeking an experienced IT Transition Manager to lead the IT workstream on a major GBS transformation programme. This is an opportunity to work on a high-profile, multi-country transition where your German language skills and consulting delivery experience will be essential to success.
As an IT Transition Manager, you will own the end-to-end transition of in-scope IT systems, applications, and services into the target GBS and Shared Services operating model. You will act as the primary point of contact for IT stakeholders in Germany, leading transition planning, knowledge transfer, cutover, and stabilisation activities. This role requires you to operate within a structured programme governance framework, managing risks, issues, and dependencies while ensuring transitions are delivered in a controlled, auditable, and compliant manner. You will work closely with system owners, retained IT teams, and senior business stakeholders to define target-state operating models and resolve integration, infrastructure, and service delivery gaps.
