As a Material Review Board (MRB) Quality Technician, you will be responsible for managing rejected parts within your assigned production line section. You will lead cross functional collaboration to identify the root causes of nonconformities quickly and accurately, ensuring that rejected parts are properly dispositioned.
You will work closely with the Quality Engineer, Production, Process Engineering, Material Planning, Supplier Quality Assurance, Supplier Quality Engineering, and Supplier Industrialization Engineering teams to contain and resolve issues identified during production.
What You'll Do-
Guide non-conforming materials through the MRB process from identification to handover to the next responsible team, both virtually in OneMRB and physically
- Perform basic problem-solving steps as a first analysis for part dispositioning
- Extract actionable insights form dashboards to support decision making
- Collaborate closely with engineers, highlight issues to ensure effective communication and transparency
- Understand what data is needed to achieve Key Performance Indicators and able to extract basic information
- Assist in implementing containment actions based on provided input from engineers
- Supports investigations with data, has basic knowledge of the factory software fundamentals and can apply the fundamentals with minor supervision
- Understands the concept of failure modes, able to identify common failure modes in processes or parts independently.
- Understands the basic disposition cases of non-conforming material
- Facilitate daily MRB review meetings and ensure responsible departments follow up on assigned actions
- Flexibility in providing support in different areas for the factory
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment without direct supervision
What You'll Bring-
Completed vocational training in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Mechanics, or Mechatronics (preferred)
- Experience in Quality Assurance or Complaint Handling within a production environment (assembly or manufacturing)
- Basic excel and zip labs skills and an understanding of problem-solving methodologies to kick off root cause analysis
- Data-driven approach, with the ability to analyze challenging data and define actionable steps
- Good communication skills, able to address the right issues to the right teams based on data
- Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word); familiarity with MFS/FX
- Strong ability to build effective partnerships with cross-functional teams
- Experience with defect analysis, Root Cause Analysis, or 8D problem-solving is a plus
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment without direct supervision
