Senior Accountant & Controller (f/m/d)

For our SSL INEUR Head Office in Hamburg, we are looking to fill the position of Senior Accountant & Controller (f/m/d) at the earliest possible date.
Your responsibilities
Responsibility for monthly reporting of 12 shipping entities (subsidiaries) within the group consolidation tool
Monthly reconciliation of intercompany balances within the group system to ensure data consistency
Preparation and provision of documents and reports for external stakeholders
Review of the reporting packages prepared by the 3rd party (subsidiaries)
Preparation of profitability and efficiency analysis and derivation of actionable recommendations
Responsibility for improving accounting processes and internal controls
Preparation of financial and budget plans, forecasts, and rolling projections to support business steering
Participation in the preparation of annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards
Supporting internal and external audits
Continuous development of controlling instruments and reporting tools
Active participation in cross functional projects aimed at optimizing existing financial processes, systems, and workflows
Your profile
Degree in Business Administration with a focus on Finance or Controlling, or a commercial qualification with additional certification (e.g. Certified Accountant IHK)
At least 3 to 5 years of experience in a comparable position
Confident use of accounting and reporting systems, ideally with solid knowledge of MS Excel, SAP and OneStream is an advantage
Practical experience in preparing monthly and annual financial statements as well as financial and management reporting
Industry experience in shipping or logistics is desirable but not required
Strong analytical skills and a precise, structured working style
High level of personal responsibility, reliability, and professional integrity
Team oriented, dynamic personality with a solution focused mindset
Very good command of English, both written and spoken; additional languages are an advantage
