- Taking a leadership role in establishing and refining QA processes within cross-functional project teams.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to define comprehensive product requirements and tickets, including acceptance criteria.
- Designing and implementing end-to-end tests using tools such as Cypress.
- Working closely with the infrastructure team to develop and optimise automated test pipelines.
- Conducting meticulous manual testing across a range of browsers.
- Ensuring precise implementation of features in alignment with acceptance criteria.
- Validating layouts across various viewport sizes and ensuring optimal responsiveness.
- Championing website accessibility, including keyboard navigation and screen reader compatibility according to the required accessibility standards.
- Evaluating the editorial experience within content management systems.
- Identifying and troubleshooting intricate bugs and workflow issues.
- Leading comprehensive testing efforts for Drupal sites, content management, and user experience.
- Contributing to the establishment of the QA team by participating in talent acquisition efforts and interviewing potential candidates.
- Serving as a mentor and thought leader for QA team members, as well as guiding the growth of student workers.
- Identifying and mitigating security vulnerabilities through thorough penetration testing would be nice to have.
- Extensive background in software engineering, specialising in quality assurance.
- Proven experience in setting up and refining QA processes in collaborative, cross-functional environments.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to think critically about edge cases and feature implications.
- Proficiency in anticipating and addressing security vulnerabilities.
- Strong leadership skills and a track record of mentoring and guiding junior team members.
- Effective communication skills, crucial for collaborating with remote colleagues and stakeholders.
- Adeptness with agile methodologies and adapting QA practices accordingly.
- Proficiency in both English (mandatory) and German (preferable) communication.
- Demonstrated expertise in testing and evaluating Drupal sites, including complex module integration, content management, and front-end performance.
