The Company:
A very financially stable developer and IPP of utility-scale renewable energy projects with multi-GW operating portfolio, and a strong pipeline of large projects under construction and approaching RBT, are looking for a Senior Origination Manager to drive the identification, structuring, and closing of PPAs with Utility and large industrial clients whilst supporting Direct Marketing and relationships with trading colleagues.
The Role
The primary focus of the role will be Germany, also supporting the senior management to develop a high-performing team and effective systems & processes.
This has fantastic scope for progression into management functions in the coming years, taking advantage of the organic growth of the energy markets/commercial team.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Take the lead in the origination, analysis, structure, negotiation, and closing of short & complex/long-term offtake agreements with large counterparts
- Establish & manage relationships with national and regional utilities, large C&I companies, aggregators, trading houses, and medium C&I companies.
- Provide commercial support to leadership and project development teams
- Support management in building & developing the commercial team
- Progression to Head of Origination / Head of Energy Markets or similar role in 2 to 3 years, and a realistic opportunity for a future executive position
- Strong LTI opportunity available
The Person
The successful candidate will likely have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Law, or Engineering
- 2+ years PPA origination experience for Offtake, direktvermarktung, or commercial management of Utility-Scale Solar PV, Wind, Battery Storage, Green Gases, or Gas.
- Experience leading PPA negotiations with C&I organisations, Utilities, and IPPs
- Experience with BESS / tolling agreements would be highly attractive
- Strong commercial knowledge or modelling capabilities
- Speak German & English
