A pre-seed B2B SaaS startup in the legaltech / proptech space is looking for a third co-founder to join two existing founders and help build an AI-powered platform that automates public procurement processes for architecture and engineering firms in the DACH region.
Architecture and engineering offices currently spend three to five unpaid working days per tender procedure — up to 110,000 € per year in unbillable effort for a 30-person firm. The platform reduces that effort by 70–90% through automated tender matching, go/no-go analysis, and AI-generated performance concepts (25–35 pages per application), fully compliant with German procurement law (VgV, HOAI).
The product is already live: a tender radar is running in production, automated concept generation is near completion, and the first paying customer (a Berlin architecture office) is actively using the platform. A pilot with a ~275-person engineering firm is in preparation. A public funding application (ProFIT, IBB Berlin) is underway.
A generation engine that produces complete, convincing performance concepts from a firm's existing project data

A clean, GDPR-compliant EU cloud architecture (Frankfurt region, AWS Bedrock or Vertex AI)
Ownership of your own technical domain alongside the existing CTO
Experience building a product from zero — 0-to-1 mindset
Strong full-stack engineering skills; experience with LLMs, RAG, and NLP is a strong plus
Pragmatic and delivery-focused — ships working software over endless iteration
Wants to co-build a company, not just close tickets
Good German language skills (procurement law and customer communication is in German)
Co-founder equity: 15–20% stake
Vesting: 4-year schedule with 1-year cliff
Salary: Begins once funding is secured
Employment type: Full-time preferred
Based in Berlin; hybrid or remote within the DACH region is possible. No visa sponsorship available.
