Role Overview
We are looking for a Multimodal Operations Co-Ordinator to manage international air and ocean freight shipments, covering both import and export operations. You'll deliver efficient, compliant, and high-quality freight solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage international air and ocean import and export shipments.
- Arrange freight collections, deliveries, and transportation.
- Coordinate with customers, overseas agents, carriers, truckers, and suppliers.
- Prepare, review, and process import and export documentation.
- Ensure compliance with industry, customs, and government regulations.
- Maintain accurate shipment information and updates in the system.
- Process shipment billing and invoicing.
- Resolve operational issues and escalate complex matters when necessary.
- Maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
- Participate in virtual client and team meetings as required.
- Perform other duties relevant to the role.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in freight forwarding operations.
- Experience handling both import and export shipments.
- Experience with international air and ocean freight.
- Strong knowledge of the freight forwarding and logistics industry.
- Knowledge of CargoWise is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of Incoterms and international shipping documentation.
- Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
- Fluency in both German and English is required.
